According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Park City’s population was 7,371. The city has been slowly growing since 2000, with a current (December 2005) estimated population of 8,500. The local officials are content with keeping Park City an intimate community, and have decided to not let development exceed a population of 10,000.
